With clip-on shades, torpedo bulbs are recommended. Torpedo bulbs are rounded on the end and symetrical. The flame-tip or sometimes callled turn-tip bulbs will cause the shades to sit crooked. With most clip-on shades some adjusting and bending of the wire clips will be needed to get the shades to sit straight.
